TOM FETTERMAN INDUCTED INTO INDIANA COUNTY HALL OF FAME

Our congratulations to IRRC member Tom Fetterman, Sr. on his induction into the Indiana County Sports Hall of Fame on May 17, 2009.  Tom had previously been recognized by the Hall of Fame as an honoree.  Tom has run 91 marathons to date, including one in each of the fifty states. He also runs races of shorter (and longer) distances, usually placing first in his age division.

On his 65th birthday several years ago, Tom ran 65 miles, starting at Hoss's in Indiana, Pennsylvania at midnight and running the entire length of the Hoodlebug Trail, turning at Ebensburg and eventually finishing the next afternoon in Dilltown.  This birthday run became known as the Tom Fetterman Medicare Run.  He plans to run 70 miles on his 70th birthday.

Over 20 of Tom's friends and family members joined him at the Hall of Fame dinner.
