The third running of the Run With The Deer Flies
25K race, held on Saturday, July 25, 2009, was a great success. The race
is held at Seph Mack Boy Scout near Penn Run, Pennsylvania.
Race directors Sharon Holsinger and Tom Fetterman added a 15K race to the event in 2009 for those who would like to enjoy the challenge of a trail run but on a slightly smaller scale.
The race started and ended at the scout camp and included plenty of hills, single track trails, rocks, pipeline roads, swamps, and even a few wild boar sightings.
For 2010, Ken Sharbaugh and Rob Higbee are taking over the roles of race director. Expect the same high quality event as in past years.
The club would like to thank Sharon Holsinger and Tom Fetterman for creating this race and for serving as race directors these past three years.
